Meanwhile in the dreaded borderworld of Xen, some Xenian wildlife, like Houndeyes and Alien Grunts, were trotting around on some of the many islands, but a lot of those Xenian wildlife were fixated on the ominous and massive sphere the size of a city hovering near some of the islands of Xen. The sphere had a bronze-type look to it and, from the outside, loomed silently. The inside, however, was a completely different story; inside the sphere were thousands and thousands of purple cubes floating in the space inside the sphere. The purple cubes were just floating silently, but in the center of the inside of the sphere, there was a strange white creature about the size of a small building that was looming among the cubes. The white creature had a white sphere as kind of a head with a white halo on top, and jagged, yet symmetrical tendrils protruding from the underside of the sphere. The sphere was wide open with the interior of the sphere being blue with intricate white lines lining the inside walls. There was also a floor inside the sphere where, oddly enough, two men were standing and discussing to each other. One was wearing red glasses and had blue hair and a short blue beard. He wore a white labcoat-type coat with decorative red buttons. The other man was an older man with grey hair and a grey beard and mustache combo. The one noticeable feature of the old man is that the right side of his face was severely burned. The man wore a dark grey dress coat with a dark blue undershirt.
"Well, Baion, I hope they can decode the message from that Hunter." The old man said to the man named Baion.
"I see no reason to worry about that, Wallace. The technology in The Shepherd Republic is sufficient enough to decode a hidden message from that creature." Baion replied. "Oh, and Dr. Breen, be careful about Red Savarin. Red Savarin truly is powerful. He managed to stop me and Tartaros from activating CODA. For goodness sake, he's a failed experiment! I don't see how it's possible! But still...he has my DNA running through his body...he's still my son..." Baion said in thought.
"This 'Red Savarin' sounds as lethal as the man who I heard has teamed up with Red Savarin. His name is Gordon Freeman: an anticitizen that started an uprising in City 17. Freeman isn't one to be trifled with either. He managed to close a powerful super portal that my benefactors were opening to send reinforcements...and he even managed to ruin my face." Breen explained in disdain to Baion.
"This 'Gordon Freeman' sounds like he's equal in power to Red." Baion said in thought.
"Well, I still have plenty of faith in my benefactors. Even though he has shown that he adamant, it would be completely impossible for Freeman to take down an entire multidimensional empire." Breen explained.
"Speaking of your benefactors, if I remember correctly, you say the Junos were created by your benefactors?" Baion asked.
"Indeed. I remember my benefactors discussing one of their older creations: the Junos. They said the Junos were created as a method of exchanging energy from one of their conquered worlds to another, but as the years went by, my benefactors found better ways of exchanging energy, and the Junos were long forgotten...until now." Breen explained.
"I see, and what about the Juno far below The Shepherd Republic below The Cloud Sea that has gone rogue?" Baion asked.
"She will pay greatly for turning on our benefactors." Breen replied bitterly as he felt bitter against anyone that opposed the Combine.
